Birdchime — improving a live Shopify app

Software Engineer · Aug 2025 — present

Problem

Improving an app thousands of stores already depend on is a different job from building one. Every change has to hold up against configurations you did not design and cannot afford to break.

What I built

Architected multi-zone time synchronization APIs to eliminate transaction drift across POS devices. Engineered strict Ruby validation engines for JSONB schemas to mitigate invalid checkout states. Built tolerant parsers for checkout logic executing in strictly constrained WASM sandboxes. Re-architected stateful React frontends into derived-state paradigms, eliminating asynchronous network race conditions.

Outcome

Improvements shipped into a live app that 5,000+ merchants run against real orders every day.

Tech Wishes Solutions — Technical Storefront Revamps

Problem

High-volume brands require fault-tolerant integrations, scalable data architectures, and seamless user experiences to maintain and drive conversion rates.

What I built

Led technical storefront revamps and custom API integrations for 15+ high-volume brands (including iTokri, Snitch, and Zenncasa). Developed a standalone pincode validator and integrated GA4 data architectures to drive conversion and tracking accuracy.

Outcome

Delivered performant, high-converting storefronts and data architectures. Recognized with Excellence in Client Servicing two years in a row.
